I have to correct my statement that the coalition against Netanyahu’s party being organized by former Israeli prime ministers is to consist of non-Zionists. I misread a news report and misinterpreted this statement — “they would seek to form a government only with Zionist opposition parties” — to mean parties in opposition to Zionism.
Therefore, my emphasis that the replacement of Netanyahu’s Zionist party would offer a chance to negotiate Israel’s abandonment of the Greater Israel agenda is overstated. My main point that the Zionist agenda of Greater Israel precludes peace in the Middle East is unaffected by this mistake.
