Is the Israeli-Trump War on Iran Producing Muslim Unity?

Paul Craig Roberts

News reports are no longer reliable.  This makes it difficult for those of us who attempt to provide accurate accounts of unfolding events.

A very important meeting was held Tuesday in Iran at the request of the Mecca Alliance (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan).  Based on the information that I have, I think the meeting was a product of Saudi Arabia’s poor performance in its military conflict with Yemen.  As is usual, Arabs waste their resources fighting one another instead of their enemies. Trump’s announcement that he is preparing a renewed attack on Iran after the US November 3 elections together with Iran’s statement that all countries involved in the attack will suffer substantially has the Saudis worried.  Turkey and Pakistan do not want to be drawn into the Israeli-American war against Iran as a consequence of their alliance with the Saudis.  So they are trying to work something out with Iran.

We do not know at this time the outcome of the meeting or what, if anything, was decided. There are no public statements or news reporting. It is as if there was no meeting.

I have it from an Iranian source that the four countries agreed that it was past time for the four countries to take charge of the problems introduced by Israel into the Muslim Middle East and to resolve them without any foreign interference, meaning Washington.  There was, according to my source, discussion that instead of accepting more Israeli territorial expansion, Israel must be compelled to withdraw from Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, and the Palestinian West Bank.

Israeli-American domination of the Middle East has been achieved by Arab and Muslin disunity.  The Arabs, Turks, Iranians, and Pakistanis have been too corrupt and stupid to comprehend the hegemonic threat that they face. Perhaps the silver lining in US President Trump’s subservience to Israel’s agenda of Greater Israel has brought realization of the threat home to Muslims.

If Tuesday’s meeting in Iran results in unity with, for example, Iran becoming a member of the Mecca Alliance, not only does Saudi Arabia’s war with Yemen halt, but also the four countries comprise a population of 477,000,000 million–essentially a half billion.  There are only 7,000,000  Jews in Israel.  Moreover the half billion peoples have Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, a standoff to Israel and Washington.

In other words, it would be the end of Washington’s bases in the Middle East and to the Zionist agenda of Greater Israel. A united Muslim world would be a power unto itself.

The information that my analysis is based on might be incorrect.  If the meeting was unsuccessful in achieving unity, it would explain why there has been no announcement.  Indeed, few people even know such an important meeting took place.

If unity was reached, it is a mistake to withhold the information.  Such a unity would completely alter the correlation of forces in the Middle East.  A resumption of the Israeli-American attack on Iran could result in the total eviction of all US presence in the Middle East and the complete destruction of Israel. Facing such consequences, not even crazy people like Netanyahu and Trump would renew the conflict.

Will Muslims again choose disunity, as they have done since the death of Mohammad in the 7th century and remain under the thumb of foreign powers?  Or will they choose unity and partake of its rewards?
