Hackers Leak Data of 41,000 DHS Employees

A group calling itself the Department of Peace published personal data of more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security employees, including ICE and Customs and Border Protection agents. The leaked records include names, job titles, phone numbers, email addresses, and office locations, The Verge reported.

TechCrunch reported a hacker obtained the personally identifiable information, which now sits online for anyone to see. Engadget described the attackers as a hacktivist group that stole the information of ICE agents and border police.

The leak follows earlier breaches at the FBI and the Defense Department. The latest in a string of intrusions targeting federal security agencies.

“Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance in the biggest crypto theft to date, marking a fresh blow to efforts to push digital assets into the mainstream. The crypto exchange froze $3 billion and suspended all withdrawals as it worked feverishly on a security revamp. Binance said it will make good on all the losses. Blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs said North Korea’s elite hacking unit was behind the heist. The stolen tokens will probably be impossible to recover, said Ballet, the digital-asset hardware wallet firm.”   https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2026-10-30/hackers-steal-6-3-billion-in-cryptoassets-from-binance?cmpid=103026_morningamer&utm_campaign=morningamer&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_term=261030&utm_content=10775
