A Big Trump Pro

Paul Craig Roberts

I have written several columns about the pros and cons of President Trump. His cons get much attention from the Democrats and the whore media, while his pros are either criticized or ignored. His latest pro is a big one–the mandatory rule just issued by the Federal Aviation Administration that requires all commercial airlines in the United States to formally commit to merit-based hiring for pilots. The new rule no longer permits the DEI hiring policy imposed by the Biden regime. Airlines that hire on the basis of race and gender will face federal investigation.

The US Secretary of Transportation said, “When families board the aircraft, they should fly with confidence knowing the pilot behind the controls is the best of the best. The American people don’t care what their pilot looks like or their gender—they just care that they are the most qualified man or woman for the job.”

The alternative to merit-based hiring violates the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Under Law. The Biden regime’s ideological policy of giving preference to people of color, females, and sexual perverts created a discriminatory system of privilege in which those preferred not for their ability but for their race or gender or sexual preference became privileged under law. White heterosexual males were placed in a disadvantageous position with regard to access to universities, to employment, to promotion, to federal contracts, and to impartial juries. White heterosexual American males and females were sent to prison by the Biden regime for protesting the Democrats’ theft of the 2020 presidential election.

In other words, the Biden Democrats discarded the US Constitution in favor of the ideology of promoting the least qualified.

The American public needs to step back and insulate itself from the propaganda, and to understand that the destruction of a merit-based system is the destruction of America.
