Instead of completing their victory, the Iranians stupidly agreed to a ceasefire after vowing not to accept a ceasefire. Consequently, Iran allowed Washington to rebuild Israel’s munitions, thus wiping out the advantage Iran had gained.
By stupidly agreeing to a ceasefire, Iran also gave Israel the green light against Iran’s ally in Lebanon. “Israeli forces have used the lull to occupy swathes of southern Lebanon and impose a Gaza‑style “yellow zone” covering around 55 towns and villages where residents are barred from returning. Iran, like Russia, seems never to learn. Time and again they pay heavily for agreeing to ceasefires and never learn the lesson they are given.
