The Epstein saga needs a better investigation
Paul Craig Roberts
It is difficult to examine the Epstein saga critically or objectively without being regarded as an apologist. Elites throughout the western world are discredited, and it is the fault of their own behavior. For example, governments in power misuse law in order to suppress opponents. The suppression of Marine Le Pen in France and the Russia-gate, documents-gate, insurrection-gate, and other false charges against Donald Trump were self-inflicted blows against itself by the establishment. It is easy to believe sex and Satanist charges against an already discredited elite.
My intent is not to apologize for anyone. I don’t want the Epstein saga to disappear in a pedophile sex ring before all other explanations are carefully examined. Many questions have gone unasked. Where did Epstein’s fortune come from? If he is sex-trafficking underaged children, why is the traffic limited to elites capable of influencing US policy in the Middle East? Why the emphasis on Virginia Guthrie when there must have been numerous underaged girls? Was Virginia Guthrie underage when 16 years old is the age of consent in 30 US states? Were the supposedly many underaged victims actually kidnapped or were they there on their own accord? Why did we hear from victims decades after their abuse and why so few? Little doubt, bad things happened, but are they being used to deflect attention from an Israeli blackmail operation? Why hasn’t this possibility been investigated?
It is obvious from the circumstances that despite official denial Epstein was murdered in his prison cell. The question is why. Murdering him did not eliminate the millions of pages of files. Moreover if he was operating for Israel, why did Israel permit his arrest and murder? Did he threaten to reveal that his operation was a Mossad blackmail operation to ensure Western compliance with Israeli policy in the Middle East? Had Epstein’s success and power gone to his head and raised Israeli concerns?
Americans must cease being satisfied with explanations provided before all aspects are examined and investigated. For example, Charlie Kirk’s accused murderer is said to have used a 30-06 caliber rifle, but there is no exit wound compatible with such a high caliber weapon. Nevertheless, case closed.
Too many cases have been closed with unsupported allegations–9/11, Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction,” Assad’s “use of chemical weapons,” “Iranian nukes,” and so on. It is our own gullibility that keeps us from the truth.
