President Trump seems to have lost it The delusions mount.  Trump has declared himself to be the "greatest American President," ahead of George Washington, and he has listed the Strait of Hormuz as "an American territory."  This is not a person who should have access to the nuclear button. https://www.rt.com/news/644776-trump-president-ranking/  https://www.rt.com/news/644783-trump-hormuz-schizophrenia-iran/

A Disintegrating Tower of Babel. Paul Craig Roberts On August 24 the New York Times asked if we should read Mark Twain's book, Huckleberry Finn? The writer, Sam Sifton, gives pros and cons. https://messaging-custom-newsletters.nytimes.com/dynamic/render?campaign_id=9&emc=edit_nn_20260824&instance_id=180840&isViewInBrowser=true&nl=the-morning&paid_regi=0&productCode=NN&regi_id=319886775&segment_id=225312&sendId=225312&uri=nyt://newsletter/e3bcab9b-f358-58a8-9cfd-f3a9bd5dd796&user_id=16e8eb830e4bd362dd416f1daa9d25b1 Sifton says that reading the book in prep school in NY City made him uncomfortable because the racial slur "nigger" appears more than 200 times. On the other hand, he quotes...

Ireland Deleted Paul Craig Roberts Evidence is plentiful that Ireland as an Irish nation has ceased to exist.  Geographically, a country still remains, but it is not Irish.  It is a multicultural tower of babel, one created by the Irish themselves. University College Dublin has a School of Social Justice that grants Ph.D. degrees in Equality Studies, which alone shows how far Ireland has progressed...

A world-changing event? PCR and Larry Sparano discuss a world-changing development, the invitation to Iran to join the Turkey-Saudi-Pakistan alliance.  It would be a nuclear armed bloc of 480 million Muslims controlling enormous energy, critical waterways, and strategic location.   We also discuss Trump's exit plan from Iran, which is Trump's redefinition of the conflict from military to economic. All in all an interesting discussion...

Russia Under Putin Is an Example of Self-Defeat Paul Craig Roberts Since 2014 I have been puzzled by the absence of a Russian foreign policy strategy.  The Kremlin had the carrot--diplomacy--but no stick, the absence of which made the diplomacy ineffective.  If the diplomacy failed, there was no backup plan. We saw this in 2014 when Washington overthrew without Russian opposition the Russian-friendly government in...

The Disappearing Western World Paul Craig Roberts It was 53 years ago that Jean Raspail wrote The Camp of the Saints in an attempt to wake up the French nation to the future challenge they would face.  The French response was to dismiss Raspail's effort as a dystopian novel and do nothing.  Today five decades later Marine Le Pen, leader of France's only French nationalist...
